Help us Pick Nursery Fabric!

We've narrowed our fabric selection down to three for the nursery. The first is one that is more babyish and would work for a second baby. The other two are much more BOY and more modern. Our nursery will have green or blue walls and black furniture.

What do you think? I placed a poll at the bottom.

Woodland Creatures
Contrasting Color: Green Gingham

Blue and Green Swirls
Contrasting color: teal

Blue Dots
Contrasting Color: Solid Green or Solid Teal

Congrats on the boy!

I think you could use any of the fabrics for any future baby. My favorite is the dots.

I think the swirls would work for a second child, even if it were to be a girl.

Very funky.

Ohhh, I love two and three. I voted for the dots because I think you could accessorize it better than the swirls. Plus, it will go further (age wise for baby) than the woodland creatures.

1st choice--woodland creatures (clearly i'm in the minority there). The dots are also good--nice, big, bold shapes are supposed to be good for babies' development.

the swirls are too busy (IMHO) for a baby...

CONGRATS!! Nursery decorating is so exciting!!

I voted dots. I think it would work for a boy or a girl. I actually don't think any of those are boy specific so you'd be good no matter what you choose. I just like the bold, simple design of the dots. And I think it would work well with black furniture. :)

The first two are quite busy as patterns go. Trust me, you don't want busy in a nursery. You want hypnotic, soothing, go-to-sleep type patterns.

The dots fit the bill both in terms of symplicity & colour tone.

I'm for dots or swirls. I like both of them. :-)

I'd got for the woodland creatures, I'm not usually a cutsey kind of girl but as a wee kiddie (under 2) I remember being in my cot and the pleasure I got from looking at the 50's woodland transfers on my cot and even before that being in my pram and looking at the white lamb on the pink blanket that used to be put around me. Um, I grew up to be an animator. So you see just maybe the bedding might influence your kiddlet, he's going to rack up a fair amount of hours staring at that beding. Congratulations on making a baby girls. I wish you well x

I do remeber pleasurably focusing
