It's pouring rain this morning, which makes me really glad we went to the park yesterday.
Finn had his first experience on the swing. We were sitting on a bench and he kept staring at the play area and talking. Finally M. took him over to the swings and he squealed in delight.
That's what he wanted.
He was pretty freaked out about being in the swing by himself, even though we were right next to him the entire time. He had the biggest eyes. But he didn't cry, just went with the flow. He had much more fun when mommies swung with him on the big kid swing.
I love firsts.

so cute! it's fun to try new things! riley LOVES the swing.
Finn is so cute...when he does something new he'll be very cautious about the whole thing...just staring and quiet, and you can tell that he's nervous, but he never freaks out, just kind of hangs in there and checks things out. I suspect he'll really enjoy the swing next time, and he was fine when he was on our laps.
It's so much fun getting to know our little boy. The best!
Riley usually approaches things differently. I think she's pretty gutsy. I think she'll be into everything. It is funny when they study new things. Riley has this thing where she puts her thumb on stuff and grunts as she studies it.
It is so much fun seeing more of their personality as they get older. And I love how the most mundane thing is suddenly thrilling.
Aww, cute! Edie likes it too (the swing) and I prop her back a bit with some blankets and that seems to help a bit.
