Desperate Measures...or Putting the Cart Before the Horse
Okay, so, we, uh...we, uhhhh...bought a stroller today.We have some very logical thinking. Really, we do! Really.
It's a 2005 Zooper Zydeco, a truly sexy beast. We had already decided that would be the stroller for us - it has most of the features of the tres expensive Bugaboo but is so much cheaper. They're coming out with new models and the prices are going up. The store we bought it from had it VERY discounted and we're on a budget. It's a local store that we want to support. It's in pristine shape. We can resell it if we have to, probably for the same amount we just bought it for.
Logical. Right?
AND it made us feel better.
We're going to put it in the attic, cover it in plastic and pretend we don't own a STROLLER.
Ready. Set. MOCK!

No mockery here. That stroller is the absolute BOMB.

we have ours out so we can look at it and touch it... isn't it SOOOO cool! I finally figured out how to make it into the pram-looking thing. It is SOOOO cool! Enjoy the knowledge that you have it there and that you will use it and NOT need to sell it! (Which color did you get?!) :-)
We bought the denim one. It was the only one left. Some guy had it on hold then didn't come back so WE got it! He he!
I do love this stroller. I first saw it in Whistler B.C. and managed to glance at the name, memorized it then came back and found it on the internet. The adjustable handle it perfect for my tallness and M.'s shortness. It rides so smooth. I really thought we'd get the middle of the line one, so I'm excited about the carry cot thingy. And all for about the same price as the Boogie.

I envy you because due to subways, small spaces and we live in the San Francisco of Manhattan (hills) we are going to try to avoid strollers and try babywearing with pouches, mei tais, slings and wraps. But when our backs give out I want your stroller! LOL
I love love love Zooper strollers. I bought Charlie's long before he was born for the same reason, mega sale and I got the $320 stroller for ninety bucks.
I love slings! We actually plan to sling most of the time.
The Zooper is because we like to walk for exercise (and with my weight, I want to have a plan to get it OFF after the birth). I can't see slinging for a couple hour walk because I'm worried about stressing my already stressed back.
How can I mock? I have looked at the exact same one online and, well, we're not even INSEMINATING right now!
Um, we already have FOUR strollers. It's a long story. Only one of them is something I would have chosen (Maclaren Techno) because it's got to fold up small to go on the subway or in the back of our small car. But if we didn't have to worry about how big or heavy it would be folded... wow - that is a DAMN cool stroller!
My friend has that stroller and it's *awesome*. No mocking here. I have over $200 worth of fancy cloth diapers and wool covers and we're not even TTC yet.
