17:30 Update
I walk and I start contracting. I sit down and I stop. They hurt but not like a mofo. We're not progressing.
We're heading into the Baby Factory at 20:00 and we'll start the induction.
I'm not terribly thrilled that we're going to start after being up all day. At the same time, oxytocin peaks at night so maybe that will help. I'm also glad that we gave my body a chance to kick in before moving to meds. I'm okay with that decision.
Right now M. and I are going to try to take a couple hour nap. We'll see if it works or not.

The Indian's water broke Friday morning and she didn't fully dialate until Sunday evening. Walking helped a lot. We actually spent 5+ hours at the mall - which we hate normally. Try to take your mind off it (easier said than done, I know). Maybe rent a funny movie (Ina May's law of sphincters). Good luck. Hang in there. Try to be late for your 20:00 date. This just takes a while with first babies. We are think of you.

Congratulations on Finn's arrival, and hope that you didn't have to go through a really long labour before the C-section (although probably so, if he was already in the birth canal).
Hope you get lots of support at the hospital on how to best move around after a C-section etc. - it's not easy! Am more than happy to pass on my own experiences if you'd find it helpful xx

Oh wow. Congratulations mummies! Hope you and LB all doing ok. Sorry to hear you ended up with a c-section as this was not what you'd hoped for, but it must be amazing to finally meet him and start your new life as a family!

Congrats! I too had a c-section after wanting a med-free birth. I labored for 24 hrs before getting an epi (thank goodness I got one and didn't continue to labor given that I was getting a c anyway).
