Heat warning in the Emerald City today. We have a pan of ice in the freezer to keep the bedroom cool tonight (place in front of fan) and we'll be going to the wading pool and the mall if necessary. Luckily our house stays cool most of the day until around 4 or 5.

I've always said I would have married M. the moment I met her, and we've always wanted children. But we're two women and that complicates things. Fourteen years, one commitment ceremony, one legal marriage and eight inseminations later, we finally have the family we dreamed of.

I'm curious...what is considered "hot" in Seattle? When you say "heat warning", what is the feared high temp? :)

Wow, no a/c? I couldn't cope.
It's 97 at the moment. We've never hit 100...if we do, we'll break the record.
Trust me, we all whine if it stays above 85 for too long, so this is flippin' HOT.
And no a/c. Ugh. Should cool down by the weekend. Spending lots of time at the mall...bad for the limited mat leave budget.
